A Busy Night for Regina Fire Crews

3 fires in the Queen City kept fire crews busy last night.

The first fire took place on the 300 block of Rose street just before 5 pm. The fire was contained to the kitchen of a residence and forced one occupant to go to the hospital with smoke inhalation.

About an hour later a garage and several empty tents were ablaze on the 1800 block of Halifax street. Some witnesses at the scene reported a “small explosion”. It appears as though this blaze was at an encampment in the city for people without a permanent residence.

Thirty minutes later a garage fire on 1200 block of Rae Street started.

Crews were able to bring all three blazes under control with only minor injuries reported at one of the incidents.

The cause of these fires remains under investigation.
