RCMP are on the looking for a man who they consider potentially armed and dangerous.
Early this morning at about 3:30 a.m., Esterhazy RCMP received a report of an assault at a resident north of Langenberg.
Investigation determined the suspect stole a vehicle following the commission of a violent offence.
The stolen vehicle is described as a dark blue coloured 2011 Chrysler 300 with a Manitoba licence plate HLV 980.
It’s believed the lone male driver may be armed with firearms.
The vehicle may be in the Carlyle area but the exact location and destination is unknown.
RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
