A break-and-enter led to an assault charge this morning.

At roughly 4 a.m., Police responded to a report of a break-and-enter at a residence in the 2000 block of Toronto Street.

The victim said a man was damaging property in the residence.

When police arrived they arrested the man without incident.

The victim had minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.

36-year-old Alexander Sayer of Regina is charged with Break and Enter Committing Mischief, and Aggravated Assault.

Sayer will make his first court appearance tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m.
