Bedard named WHL Player of the Month for January

 

On Wednesday, the Western Hockey League announced Regina Pats captain Connor Bedard has been named the McSweeney’s Player of the Month in January.

In seven games, Bedard led the league with 16 goals and 24 points. On three occasions, Bedard scored three or more goals in a single game including a four goal effort against Calgary on January 8.

Heading into February, the 17-year-old is on a 33 game point streak and leads the WHL in goals and points and is tied for the league lead in assists.

Also in January, Bedard was named the top-ranked North American skater in NHL Central Scouting’s Mid-Term Rankings.
