A new arrest has been made after further investigation into a violent robbery in the Queen City in 2014.
At about 10:45 p.m. on June 2nd, 2014, police were called to the area of 14th Avenue and Rae Street for a report of a man who had been assaulted.
Two suspects had approached two young males in the area of Victoria Avenue and Broad Street, demanding money and threatening to shoot them.
A passerby witnessed the assault and called police, at which point the suspects fled.
A 25-year-old man was arrested Thursday after what police are calling ‘recent developments’. Because he was 16 at the time of the alleged incident, he can’t be named under conditions of the youth criminal justice act.
He made his first court appearance Friday.
