Plenty of playoff action for University of Regina Cougars Athletics

 

Playoffs begin today in multiple sports for the University of Regina Cougars.

In Men’s Hockey, the Cougars will head out west to Vancouver where they will meet the UBC Thunderbirds in a best of three series beginning tonight. The Cougars claimed the last playoff spot in the conference as they finished with 19 points. UBC was third with 42 points. The Thunderbirds defeated the Cougars in all four their matchups this season.

On the hardcourt, In Women’s Basketball, The University of Regina Cougars team will be in action on Saturday. They finished the season as the #2 seed and will face the winner of No. 7 seed Trinity Western and No. 10 seed Victoria play-in game that goes tonight at the Centre for Kinesiology. Saturday’s game tips off at 7:00.

The Men’s Basketball Team will advance to the playoffs as the #8 seed. They will take on UNBC in a play-in game tonight in Victoria. If the Cougars pick up a win tonight, they will advance to the quarterfinals tomorrow against Victoria.
