A staple of Family Day Weekend is back for another year.
This Sunday and Monday, the Wascana Winter Festival, formally known as Waskimo is taking place.
Kolene Gustafson, with the Wascana Winter Festival, says all programming won’t be outside this year.
“We’re really excited this year to bring back the indoor program. We’re taking it to Darke Hall from 1-4 on Monday. We’re going have a great lineup of events for kids to come out and participate,” says Gustafson.
The indoor events will include performances from musicians, magicians, and salsa dancers.
Those looking to enjoy the winter weather can enjoy public skating, outdoor skiing, snow cricket, and horse-drawn wagon rides.
The horse-drawn wagon rides will be the only event that is not free for the public.
