Team Saskatchewan added to the medal total on Tuesday at the 2023 Canada Winter Games.
Long track speed skater and the province’s flag bearer at the opening ceremonies, Luca Veeman earned a silver medal in the male 1,500m at the Halifax Oval.
Later in the day Saskatoon’s Serena Dallaire picked up a bronze medal in the 1,500m female long track speed skating event. Ella Cloutier of Regina just missed the podium finishing fourth.
After the day, Saskatchewan has now earned five medals with three silver medals and a pair of bronze.
In other action, in Male Hockey, Saskatchewan finished first in their pool with a round robin and will now advance to the quarter-finals on Thursday.
Saskatchewan picked up their first win in ringette, a 8-4 decision over PEI.
In Wheelchair Basketball, Saskatchewan defeated New Brunswick 46-35.
