Saskatchewan remains at five medals at Canada Winter Games

 

Team Saskatchewan’s medal count remained at five after yesterday’s action at the 2023 Canada Winter Games in P.E.I.

In Female Curling. Hanna Rugg and her Regina rink picked up a pair of wins to improve their record to 3-2 and will be in the quarter-finals.

Saskatchewan picked up an 11-5 win in Ringette, they will be in action today in the quarterfinals.

The province will also be competing in the quarterfinals in Wheelchair Basketball, yesterday they defeated Newfoundland 55-27.

The female 500m long track speed skating event saw Serena Dallaire in 13th and Ella Cloutier 14th as Team Sask’s highest finishers. Sophia Dvorak finished 19th while Melissa Scutchings finished 23rd.

In the 500m male event, Luca Veeman finished in 5th place. Bon Lowe was 9th, Daniel Pauli 12th and Ferguson English 17th.

The women’s pursuit event was able to go and Team Sask finished 4th. The group was 4.31 seconds off the podium. However, due to the bad ice, the men’s pursuit was postponed.

In Gymnastics-Trampoline, Jami Reschke finished 6th after the final routine with a score of 45.815. Wilson Reimche reached the final and finished 6th with a score of 47.040
