For the third time as a member of the University of Regina Cougars Men’s Basketball team, Carter Millar has been named a Canada West all-star.
On Friday, Millar was named a member of the Canada West second all-star team.
This season, the Regina product averaged a double double with 17.1 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.
He managed to score 31 points on a pair occasions this season, including last weekend’s quarterfinal matchup against Victoria which proved to be his final game as a Cougar.
Millar also tied a Cougars record with 20 rebounds earlier this month. The record was record originally set by Chris Biegler in 1986 and later matched by Kevin Gilroy (1998) and Jamal Williams (2007).
The forward was a third-team all-star in 2019-20 and a second-team all-star last year, Millar also becomes the first men’s player in U of R history to receive three Canada West all-star nods.
