The Saskatchewan Games drew to a close on Saturday with the extinguishing of the flame during the closing ceremonies.
In the overall medal standings, taking home the Games Flag was Team Saskatoon. They finished with a total 98 medals. Regina was second with 69 medals and Prairie Central finished third with 31. A full look at the medal standings can be found here.

On the final day of competition, Cross Country Skiing, Futsal, Judo, Para-Nordic Skiing, Target Shooting and Wrestling all handed out medals.
Some of the highlights from Saturday include
In Cross Country skiing, Emma Storey of Saskatoon won gold in the junior female Cross Country Skiing Free Interval Start, Levi Maier won gold in the Junior Male category and Lorenece Bourque of Regina won gold in the Senior Female group.
Saskatoon claimed the first ever gold medals in both men’s and women’s Futsal. Team Parkland Valley won Silver on the women’s side, while Team Regina won silver on the men’s side.
In Target Shooting, Emma Molberg of Saskatoon took Gold in the Individual Air Pistol Female competition. Tyler Lamarre took the gold in the male group. In the Individual Air Rifle Open, Regina’s Sienna Marie Berns took home the gold medal. Sahas Mittel of the Lakeland squad took home the gold in the male category.

The Games will leave behind numerous lasting legacies in Regina and area. In addition to an estimated economic impact of $3M, significant volunteer engagement, and leadership development, the Saskatchewan Games Council Sport Legacy Grant provides $250,000 in matching funding that has been distributed across many of the participating sport organizations and local clubs.
The next edition of the Saskatchewan Games will take place in Lloydminster from July 21-27, 2024.
