CN Rail says last month was the best February ever for prairie grain movement on the CN network.

Grain shipments reached 2.4 million metric tons last month, exceeding the record set in February 2021 by over 200 thousand tons.

CN attributes the record performance in February to increased collaboration between supply chain partners, enabling strong performance even during periods of extreme cold.

Each year CN moves more than 300 million tons of goods throughout North America each year.

CN has an 18 thousand 600 mile network connecting Canada’s east and west coasts with the U.S. south.
