Police seek information regarding attemped shoplifting by man with knife

The Regina Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance after an attempted shoplifting.

On Saturday at approximately 7:00 p.m., police were dispatched to a business in the 2800 block of 13th Avenue for a report of a weapons offence.

According to information provided to police, a man attempted to shoplift merchandise from the business.

When the man was confronted by store security, the suspect revealed a knife.

Nobody was physically injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as: wearing a black jacket, dark-coloured pants and black sneakers.

He was said to have been wearing a ball cap and glasses and was carrying a black backpack and a green reusable shopping bag.
