Regina youths arrested and charged after break-and-enter

Shortly after 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday morning, police went to the 2000 block of Park Street for a report of a break-and-enter in progress.

Information indicated that at least two male suspects had gained entry to a business, and one had an axe.

As police searched, the two suspects exited the business and were then caught and taken into custody.

It was learned that the suspects had previously caused damage but unsuccessfully gained entry at a different business before causing damage and gaining entry to the business location they were found exiting.

Two Regina youths, ages 14 and 15, who cannot be named in keeping with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are jointly charged with:

  • Break, Enter, and Commit.
  • Attempt Break and Enter on Business.
  • Possession of a Weapon.

The youths made their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Youth Court on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.
