Record April cold in Saskatchewan

There was definitely a chill in the air last night, and several Saskatchewan communities have set records for April 5.

Elbow, Kindersley, Last Mountain Lake, Leader, Lucky Lake, Outlook and Rosetown were all colder than all their recorded previous April 5ths.

Elbow was -23.0, breaking a record of -22.0 set in 1979. Kindersley was -24.7, breaking a record of 21.5 set in 2018.

And Leader got down to -25.1, which smashed the previous record of -19.4 in 1975.

It’s supposed to be super cold again tonight.
