Rae Street Death Ruled Homicide – Charges Laid

The second homicide of the year has taken place in Regina.

Yesterday police were called to a report of a dead person on the 1600 block of Rae Street.

Charges have now been laid against one man as that suspicious death has officially been ruled a homicide by Regina City Police and the Coroners office.

Police were originally called to a residence on Rae Street for a report of a weapons offense, early information suggested a male was injured outside the home.

There they found the body of 33 year old Justin Lankey. The extent of Lankey’s injuries have not been released.

37 year old Mitchell Sanderson now faces a charge of manslaughter.

Sanderson will make his first appearance in provincial court this morning.
