Experience Regina is no more after decision to return to its original name

Amidst the Experience Regina controversy, a big announcement came from the REAL district today.
“Over the past few weeks, we have been working with our owners to determine the best path forward for our tourism agency. At this time the decision has been made to return to Tourism Regina’s name and reactivate the website and social channels under the Tourism Regina brand,” says Wayne Morsky, Chair of the REAL Board of Directors.
“This will allow us to return to work and support the local visitors’ economy as we head into a busy spring and summer season.”
An independent review of the situation will be done by a third-party consultant. Who that consultant is may or may not be released to the public according to Morsky.
The findings of the review will be presented to city council at a future date with no set timeline.
The REAL District says they will also be collaborating with diverse community groups to develop an inclusive brand strategy moving forward.
Tim Reid’s position as CEO of the company will stay status quo at this time, Morsky says more will be discussed and released to the public once the review has concluded.
