Ottawa and Saskatchewan make joint infrastructure investment to support 21 projects

The Canadian and Saskatchewan governments announced a joint infrastructure investment of $42.1-million that will support 21 projects province-wide.

Several rural areas will also see infrastructure improvements; they are the rural municipalities of Antler, Caledonia, Hudson Bay, Keys, Lacadena, Lumsden, Mervin, Orkney, Poplar Valley, Preeceville, Porcupine, and Torch River.

Both governments say this work will improve the transportation systems of these communities.

Federal Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, Dominic LeBlanc, says these investments will improve the quality of life of residents across the province.

Saskatchewan’s Government Relations Minister Don McMorris says once these projects are completed, it will further support Saskatchewan’s export-based economy.
