Vehicle/pedestrian collision leaves 16-year-old dead

The Regina Police Service is investigating a fatal motor vehicle and pedestrian collision that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning.

At 1:00 a.m., officers were called to the area of 13th Avenue and Garnet Street for a report that a pedestrian had been struck by an eastbound vehicle.

EMS attended the scene and confirmed the 16-year-old victim had died.

The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, said they are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision and that if anyone has information about the incident, they asked they contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500.
