Team Canada will be in action on Saturday in the semi-finals of the IIHF U18 Championships in Switzerland after a 7-3 victory against the host country on Thursday.

Former Regina Pat draft pick, Matthew Wood had a goal and an assist for Canada in the victory.

Slovakia and the United States advanced to the semi-finals earlier in the day.

Sweden and Latvia will meet in the final quarter-final matchup.
