Rebels defeat Bears to improve to 2-2 at Esso Cup

 

The Regina Rebels moved their record to the .500 mark at the Esso Cup in Prince Albert after they defeated the host team, the Prince Albert Bears 5-2 on Wednesday.

Greta Henderson and Berlin Lolacher each had a pair of goals in the win, Amber Daley also had a goal for the Rebels.

With the win, the Rebels move into a tie for third spot in the round-robin standings.

On Thursday, Regina will wrap up the preliminary round with a matchup against the Northern Selects.

The top four teams will meet on Friday in the semi-finals with the gold and bronze medal games set for Saturday at Art Hauser Centre.
