Riders sign LB Fisher-Morris, release LB Rice, announce WR Boersma has retired

The Saskatchewan Roughriders made a couple of moves on Thursday.

They announced the signing of linebacker Kyrei Fisher-Morris.

He spent the past four seasons with Oregon State University.

The former Beaver recorded 114 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one interception, and six pass knockdowns in 31 games.

Prior to joining Oregon State, Fisher-Morris spent two seasons at the University of Arkansas.

Saskatchewan also announced they have released linebacker Justin Rice. In 2022, Rice appeared in three games with the Roughriders and recorded one special teams tackle.

The Roughrider also notified that former University of Regina Rams receiver Riley Boersma has elected to retire. Saskatchewan selected Boersma with their eighth round selection in the 2022 CFL Draft.

Last season with the Rams, Boersma had 34 receptions and 311 receiving yards.
