Some rain and cooler weather ends provincial fire ban

A bit of a relief for weary fire fighters, not mention the public.

Some rain and cooler temperatures have prompted the provincial government to lift its fire ban put in place since May 16th.  The ban applied to all crown lands and provincial parks north of Highway 16.

Local fire bans may stay in effect in places like provincial parks, if they didn’t get enough rain to reduce the fire risk, so check with the local municipality , or provincial park.

Remember, if you spot a wildfire call 9-1-1 or 1-800-667-9660.
