Farm Credit Canada offering $500-thousand credit line to support producers facing hard financial times

Farm Credit Canada (FCC) is offering support to producers who are facing financial difficulties, including cash flow challenges due to higher-than-average input costs and elevated interest rates.

FCC is offering an unsecured credit line up to $500-thousand with loan processing fees waived.

Elan Rolufs, Senior District Director with FCC, says it’s available to any producer, agri-businesses and/or agri-food operations.

She says new and existing customers that have been affected by the current economic environment are encouraged to contact their FCC relationship manager or the FCC Customer Service Centre at 1-888-332-3301.

“We’ll discuss with them their individual situation and options we have available,” Rolufs said. “This particular offering is just in response to the economic conditions that customers have experienced over the last couple of years.

“We do know that each operation is unique and we want to address that need…and this is one way that FCC can offer to help.”
