Hot Temperatures to Continue for South East Saskatchewan – Environment Canada

Mother nature is stoking the fire under Saskatchewan as a swath of hot, humid air hangs over a third of the province, prompting Environment Canada to issue an extreme temperature warning for a third of the province.
Jesse Wagar with Environment Canada says the Mercury will remain at the top of the thermostat for a little while yet.
“we are expecting temperatures to be near that 30 degree mark all week and into the weekend as well. It doesn’t look like we see a dip in the temperature till early next week.”
Wagar also says these temperatures are WAY above seasonal norms.
“Our normals for this time of year are around the 20 degree mark, so we are anywhere from seven to ten degrees above normal right now.”
Wagar also is reminding people  to stay hydrated and in a cool environment as exposure to extreme heat for long periods of time is dangerous.
