The Saskatchewan RCMP issued an alert regarding a dangerous person, and 15 minutes later cancelled that alert.
The alert came following a shooting death in Saskatoon. At 7 am this morning officers responded to a report of a person shot – who later died in hospital.
The Saskatoon Police Service is currently conducting an investigation into the shooting.
In a release the RCMP state that the incident occurred in the early hours of this morning within the city of Saskatoon.
Following the shooting, two individuals suspected to be involved fled the scene in a vehicle and were later discovered in a rural area west of Beardy’s and Okemasis’ Cree Nation.
RCMP issued the alert at 9:45am and at 10 a.m., the alert was cancelled as both individuals were taken into custody.
