Saskatoon Police lay charges regarding historical assault with faith-based affiliations

The Saskatoon Police Service has laid charges in investigating historical assaults with faith-based affiliations.

In 2021 and 2022, several reports were made to the police with allegations of an assault occurring historically.

The victims and accused were known to one another through their affiliation with the Saskatoon faith-based institution.

As a result of an investigation by members of Saskatoon Police, a 65-year-old Prince Albert man has been charged with 11 counts of assault with a weapon.

The man turned himself into police and is expected to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m.
