Red Sox split doubleheader with Mavericks

 

 

The Regina Red Sox and Medicine Hat Mavericks faced off for a doubleheader on Tuesday night at Currie Field, with each team winning a game.

Regina took Game 1 4-2, with Medicine Hat squeaking by with a 2-1 win in Game 2.

In the first game, the Red Sox came back after trailing 2-0 in the top half of the first inning.

Anthony Sharkas had three hits with a pair of RBIs. Second baseman Kyle Revere had a home run.

Daniel Crabtree picked up the win, as he pitched a complete game of seven innings.

It was a pitchers duel in Game 2 with the Mavericks scoring the game-winning run in the top of the seventh inning.

Regina only managed a pair of hits in the second game. Kade Douglas took the loss for Red Sox.

Next action for the Red Sox is tonight when they host the Brooks Bombers at Currie Field, opening pitch is 7:05.
