Team Saskatchewan is one win away from winning their fourth straight championship at the Football Canada Cup. On Wednesday, Team Saskatchewan defeated Team Ontario 15-12 in a semi-final matchup.
In the opening quarter Saskatchewan jumped out to a 10-0 lead and managed to hold off a late charge from Ontario.
Saskatchewan quarterback Carter Casey had 180 yards passing with a touchdown with 28 rushing yards. Casey also serves as Saskatchewan’s kicker and had a pair of field goals.
Tyrell Mohr had six receptions for 69 yards and a touchdown, while Brady Blackburn had seven receptions for 69 yards.
The defence created four sacks with Jacob Goldstone collecting a pair of them.
Saskatchewan will now advance to the gold medal game set for Saturday in Edmonton. They will meet the winner of the other semi-final between Alberta and Quebec.
