Riders and Stamps: Here’s what you need to know

The 3-1 Saskatchewan Roughriders could wrap up another season series with a win over the Calgary Stampeders at Mosaic Stadium.

Its the kisiskâciwan game, focusing on First Nations and Metis people as a celebration of their culture.

Teagan Littlechief will be singing the national anthem, and the starting line ups will be announced in the Cree language. There will be indigenous performances all around the stadium before and during the game.

Party in the Park opens at 2:00 p.m. with another fully loaded lineup of performers and activities. There will be an Indigenous art and beading showcase, where artists will teach fans how they bead and create their own pieces. Local band “detour” will also be performing.

To get to the game, remember Rider Transit will start picking up from the usual spots at 2:45pm.

During pre-game, Phyllis Littletent and the Kawacatoose Boys Singers and Dance Troupe will be putting on a traditional performance on the field to set the tone for the evening!

Then, prepare to be captivated during halftime as World Champion Hoop Dancer Terrance Littletent and the Kawacatoose Boys will perform on the field. This extraordinary display of skill and art is a can’t miss moment!

On the radio, 620CKRM will have “Countdown to Kick Off” at 2pm, the “Rider Nation Pre-Game Show” at 4pm, and kick off is at 5pm.
