Three people arrested in drug trafficking investigation

Three people are facing charges of drug trafficking following a six-week investigation.

On July 27, members of the Regina Police Service’s Crime Reduction Team, with assistance from the SWAT team, executed a search warrant in the 700 block of Albert Street.

As a result of the search warrant, two men and one woman were taken into custody.

Police seized a quantity of drugs, more than $4,000 in Canadian currency, multiple cell phones and other items associated with drug trafficking.

As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old Regina man, a 36-year-old Edmonton man, and a 29-year-old woman are all charged with two counts of possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.

All three individuals are set to make their first court appearance on those charges in Regina Provincial Court on September 11.
