The Canadian Little League Championships kicked off on Tuesday in Regina.

The opening matchup on Tuesday saw the Little Mountain Major All-Stars from Vancouver B.C. defeat the host the North Regina Little League 1-0.

In the second matchup of the day, the RMLL AAA All-Star 12U beat the Sydney Major Sooners 12U from Nova Scotia 3-2.

Opening ceremonies also took place on Tuesday afternoon.

The final matchup between OWLL District 12U from  and Moose Jaw (Prairie) was rained out on Tuesday night and is being made up on Wednesday.

Round robin action will wrap up on Monday, August 7.

Playoffs begin on Wednesday with the finals set for Thursday.
