Driver charged as pedestrians struck by vehicle Monday night

Regina police say a driver whose windshield wipers weren’t working in the rain struck two pedestrians, sending them to hospital.

They say the two women were found Monday night lying in the middle of a street near College Avenue and Cornwall Street.

They say the driver went through a red light.

A 20-year-old Regina man, Matthew Nimchuk, is facing two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm. He made his first appearance in provincial court this morning.
