Pats sign Import Goalie Ewan Huet

 

 

The Regina Pats have inked 2005-born goaltender Ewan Huet to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Scholarship and Development Agreement.

Earlier this summer, the Pats selected Huet with the 36th overall selection in the 2023 CHL Import Draft.

Last season, the goaltender was with Lausanne in Switzerland’s U20 league. He compiled a record 14-12-2 with a 2.73 goals-against average and two shutouts.

With a citizenship in both France and Switzerland, Huet has represented Switzerland internationally with their U16, U17 and U18 teams.

Before he joins the Pats for training camp, The 6-foot, 168 lb. goaltender will attend Switzerland’s National Junior Selection camp ahead of the 2024 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship.

The 18-year-old is the son of former NHL goalie, Cristobal Huet.
