Two Investigations underway into separate fires in Regina

It was a busy 12 hours for Regina Fire and Protective Services.

Last night, just after 930 a fire broke out in the basement suite of an apartment building in the 3900 Block of Rae Street.  Fire and smoke was pouring out of a window when fire fighters arrived.

No one was hurt, and an investigator is looking into the cause.

Around 6:00am this (Friday) morning, fire fighters responded to a massive fire in a home in the 700 block of Garnet Street.  Fire was boiling out of the roof and threatening neighbouring homes when fire fighters arrived.

It took a whole lot of work, including putting water on the fire from high above to get the fire under control.  There were no injuries in this fire either. A fire investigator is looking into the cause.
