Women’s Hockey Rivalry Series coming to Regina

The best of Women’s Hockey will be competing in the Queen City.

Regina will host the final Canadian stop of the 2023-24 Rivalry Series between the Canadian and United States National Women’s Hockey Team on Friday, February 9 at the Brandt Centre.

The seven games series will take place in Canada and the United States with Ontario and Saskatchewan hosting the Canadian games. Kitchener and Sarnia will be the sites of the games in December with Saskatoon also hosting a game on Weds. February 7.

Games in the United States will take place at Tempe, AZ on Weds. Nov. 8, Los Angeles, CA on Sat. Nov. 11 and the series finale will take place in St. Paul, Min. on Sun. Feb. 11.

Canada claimed last year’s rivalry series in thrilling fashion, winning the final four games after dropping the first three games.

President and CEO of REAL, Tim Reid says there is always a desire to bring the best calibre of hockey to Regina.

He added an event like the Rivalry Series would bolster Regina’s resume of hosting prestigious events.

“It’s a great initiative, it’s a great tourism initiative and more importantly I think it’s the time of event that builds relationships so that we can go back to the international world of hockey and other sports and say we’re a great place to host. “

Tickets for the game will be available on Oct.6 at hockeycanada.ca/tickets , tickets for the Saskatoon game will be released at a later date.
