The Regina Pats made a couple of moves on Tuesday.

They claimed 2003-born defenceman Carson Haynes off waivers from the Vancouver Giants.

In a corresponding move, they’ve placed 2003-born forward Zack Stringer on waivers.

Haynes had two assists in four games with the Giants this season. The Taber, Alta. product has played in 102 career WHL games split between the Tri-City Americans and Giants, tallying 26 points (4G-22A).

Stringer had two points (1G-1A) this year with the Pats. Over fives seasons, the Lethbridge Alta. has recorded 88 points (33G-55A) in 143 games split between the Pats and Lethbridge Hurricanes.

The Pats return to action on Wednesday at the Brandt Centre when they host they Calgary Hitmen. Coverage on 620 CKRM begins at 6:35, opening faceoff is 7:00.
