Saskatoon RCMP say a semi truck hit an SUV Sunday night at about 7:45 p.m. on Highway 41 near Saskatoon, killing four occupants of the SUV.

The deceased have been identified and their families have been notified, but the names have not been released.

The Saskatchewan Coroners Service is working to formally identify the deceased. RCMP said they are unable to release their ages and home community/communities at this time.

The semi driver did not report injuries to police.

Hihgway 41 was closed but has since re-opened.
