The Regina Pats collected their fourth straight win on Tuesday night a 4-2 decision over the Moose Jaw Warriors.
Three goals in the second period launched the Pats to victory, with all four goals on the evening coming on the power play.
Braxton Whitehead had a pair of goals, Tanner Howe had three points (1G-2A), and Tye Spencer also scored. Defenceman Parker Berge chipped in with four assists and Borya Valis also had a pair of assists.
Ewan Huet made 27 saves to earn the victory.
After the game Assistant Coach Evan McFeeters and noted the extra man advantage to start the second period helped the Pats.
“We talked about it in between periods, really it was to grab momentum on the road here and flush that first period, and square it up and we were fortunate enough to bang one home.”
McFeeters added Berge had a strong game to lead the Pats blue line.
“He was an absolute beast for us tonight, he has been all year.”
The Pat assistant coach says the power play will have to carry the team throughout the season, like it did on Tuesday with four goals.
“Five-on-five scoring, if we can saw that off each night and win the special teams battle and that’s going to be a great recipe for sustained success.”
Regina snapped their two-game road losing streak away from the Brandt Centre with Tuesday’s win.
The Pats will be looking for another win on the road on Friday when they head to Prince Albert to meet the Raiders.
