Early Saturday morning a cyclist was hit by a vehicle near 6th and Angus.

Police say an officer patrol found the cyclist on the side of the road around 9:30am. He was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Police say the driver of the truck involved in the crash stayed at the scene. Regina Police are continuing their investigation.

The area around where the crash took place was closed for several hours while police gathered evidence.

The name and age of the cyclist has not been released.
