Hilltops beat Thunder to win PFC Championship

The Saskatoon Hilltops defeated the Regina Thunder 21-13 to claim the 2023 Prairie Football Conference Championship on Sunday afternoon at SMF Field in Saskatoon.

It was low scoring first half with the Hilltops leading 9-3.

Early in the third quarter, the Thunder moved ahead with a touchdown reception from Austin Wood.

Shawn Green increased Regina’s advantage to four points with a field goal.

Down by a point in the fourth quarter, the Hilltops moved ahead with a touchdown from RB Boston Davidsen.

The Thunder conceded a safety to round out the scoring.

Saskatoon will advance to host the CJFL Semi-final next week.
