The Regina Airport Authority and WestJet announce a new direct flight route connecting Regina to Minneapolis, with operations set to commence in 2024.

The airline outlines that the newly introduced service will operate daily throughout the year, beginning on April 28. Flights are slated to depart from Regina every morning at 8:15 a.m., with return flights from Minneapolis taking off at 1:15 p.m.

This announcement follows WestJet’s earlier declaration of plans to establish direct service from Saskatoon to Minneapolis earlier this year.

The forthcoming service marks the reinstatement of direct flights to Minneapolis since 2016, when Delta Airlines suspended its daily routes to the city.

WestJet, in conjunction with the government of Saskatchewan, underscores that these changes are part of a broader effort to bolster tourism and trade relations in Regina, demonstrating their commitment to supporting and enhancing the city’s economic and cultural ties.
