Smile Cookies Raise almost 10 million dollars for charity

Coffee giant Tim Horton’s holiday smile cookie campaign, was a resounding success.

This the first time the smile cookies have been used as a holiday fundraiser, and the specially made cookies raised 9.8 million dollars.

The funds raised from coast to coast to coast are being donated to over 600 local charities and community groups that are being supported by Smile Cookies for the first time, including Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.

100 per cent of smile cookies in Regina, Balgonie, Indian Head, and Emerald Park will support five free recreational leagues for youth in football, soccer, baseball, basketball, and hockey. The funds will also contribute to the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.

Sports Venture, part of Ranch Ehrlo’s community outreach programs, is dedicated to providing quality sports leagues to vulnerable youth and families throughout the year, free of charge. The program aims to eliminate barriers to participation, offering opportunities for those who may otherwise miss out on the numerous benefits of engaging in sports and recreation.

“We are extremely grateful to our Tim Hortons stores in Regina, Balgonie, Indian Head, and Emerald Park for their partnership and friendship. These stores are locally owned by families who, like us, are passionate about making a difference in our community,” said Gloria Patrick, Ehrlo Sport Venture manager.
