Pats drop fourth in a row to Oil Kings in 4-2 loss

The Edmonton Oil Kings used a four-goal third period to return and beat the Regina Pats 4-2 on Friday night.

The Pats got off to a great start with Logan Peskett (2) and Tanner Howe (15), giving Regina a 2-0 lead while outshooting Edmonton 16-9 in the opening period.

In the third, the Oil Kings scored four times (with one being an empty netter) in the final eight minutes of the contest to snap their three-game losing streak. They got goals from John Szabo, Skyler Bruce, Marc Lajoie and Ty Nash and a 27-save performance from Kolby Hay.

This marks their fourth-straight loss for the Pats, dropping them to 10-13-1-1 on the season. Regina will look to wrap up the Alberta portion of their road trip with a win as they face the Red Deer Rebels.
