Carlyle to transform into a Dickens Village this weekend (AUDIO)

The Town of Carlyle will continue a holiday tradition that dates back 20 years. The Dickens Village Festival returns December 1st and 2nd throughout the community, located just 200 kilometers southeast of Regina.

Events include the English Market and Tradeshow, Fezziwig’s Pub, food vendors, a visit from Santa Claus, a breakfast with Santa, and TWO lit up Christmas parades. The parades starts at 6 Friday and Saturday evenings starting at the nursing home, continuing east on Railway Ave, then down main street to 1st street east.

In addition to all these events, Cornerstone Theatre will be presenting “A Christmas Carol …Slightly Twisted” at the community hall. Tickets are available at Fengche Flowers for $25 or at the hall just before the show. Showtimes are 7:30pm on Friday and Saturday and at 2:00pm on Sunday.

We caught up with Doug Waldner to learn more about this year’s show.
