RCMP investigating homicide in Yorkton, asking for help in locating woman

The RCMP is investigating a homicide in Yorkton after officers found a dead man after a welfare check.

On November 30, the Yorkton RCMP received a request to complete a welfare check at a residence on 6th Avenue North in Yorkton, where they located the dead man.

RCMP says that due to the circumstances of the incident, the Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is investigating the man’s death and is considering it a homicide.

The Saskatchewan Coroners Service is working to positively identify the victim.

Police are also working to locate 61-year-old Donna Spilchen (Radom) to confirm her safety. She is described as approximately 5′ and 120 lbs and has black hair.

RCMP is asking residents to report all information about her whereabouts immediately and asking anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity or captured video surveillance footage in 6th Avenue North in Yorkton in the early hours of November 30 to contact them.
