Roughriders sign four players

With a head coach now hired, the football operations for the Saskatchewan Roughriders are focusing in on adding players to the roster.

On Wednesday, the Roughriders signed four wide receivers and one linebacker.

American wide receivers Kalija Lipscomb, Dohnte Meyers, Jake Parker, Kendall Watson, and National linebacker Jaxon Ciraolo-Brown agreed to terms with the green and white.

Watson (5’10-183) played in four games for the Riders in 2023, ending up with 17 receptions for 154 receiving yards before he was released by the team.

The 24-year-old was was walk-on freshman at Samford University and played there for five seasons (2017-22).

Lipscomb (6’1-201) attended training camp with the Roughriders and spent time on the team’s practice roster in 2023.

He spent time in the National Football League with the Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers and Tennessee Titans.

Lipscomb played four collegiate seasons (2016-19) at Vanderbilt University. In 2018 he collected 87 receptions, 4th best in school history.

Parker (6’1-210) attended training camp with the Riders in 2023.

Prior to joining Saskatchewan, Parker spent three seasons at Howard Payne University (2019-21).

Ciraolo-Brown (6’0-200) was selected by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the 2022 CFL Draft and attended training camp with the team.

The 24-year-old played four collegiate seasons (2018-23) at the University of British Columbia. He was named a Canada West All-Star in 2023 at the strong-side linebacker position.
