Police Charge Building Contractor with Fraud

“Buyer Beware”

Its a familiar saying, mostly because it rings true.

For example, Regina Police have arrested and charged a contractor with fraud after dozens of people reported problems with repair or renovation work not being done well, or not being done at all.

Between June 2022 and December of this year, police received almost 50 complaints involving the same home contractor.  In total people were taken for over a quarter of a million dollars.

The Regina Police Services “Financial Crimes Unit” arrested 43 year old Joseph Allen Myers of Estlin, Saskatchewan.

He has been charged with fraud over five thousand dollars, and he will make another court appearance in early January.

The charges in this case have not been proven in court.
