At one time, anyone who was someone in the country music scene in Canada HAD to play The Pump in Regina. Some of the biggest names in the business performed there and many of the rising stars got their start thanks to The Pump. Nearly everyone has a story or an experience from The Pump that they look back fondly on. Whether is be from meeting a famous singer, hanging out with friends, or tearing it up on the dance floor, the Pump created thousands of memories and was undeniably the hottest place to be in Saskatchewan.

Sadly the Pump was demolished a few years ago and with that a piece of iconic history in Regina was gone forever. Today it’s a vacant lot, but back in its heyday it was one of the top country music bars in Western Canada.

The Poverty Plainsmen are gearing up for another show in tribute to the legendary Pump. After a successful run at Ballers during Agribition, the guys will be reliving the good ol’ days of the Pump this week. The Pump Christmas Reunion Party and Homecoming Cabaret will be held at the Aspen Links Event Centre on Dec 22nd and 23rd. Doors open at 8pm. Tickets are available at the clubhouse.

Kelten Chyz, the newest member of the group, joined us Thursday morning with the details.
