Calgary woman charged in hit and run causing death

A 29-year-old woman from Calgary has been charged in a hit and run in Regina early December 2.

At about 1 a.m. that day, officers were sent to a report of a sick or injured person on the 1100 block of Rae Street. They found a woman laying on the ground at an entrance to an alley. 

EMS arrived on scene and transported her to hospital, where she later died. 

The driver fled the scene. 

Investigation led officer to Calgary where the suspect was arrested on Dec. 22. 

Victoria Redwood of Calgary has been charged with failing to stop at a collision that results in death. 

Redwood made her first appearance in Regina Provincial court earlier this week.
